Lona Dutta, PhD
Lona completed her MSc in Organic Chemistry at Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, and her PhD at IISER Mohali with S. S. V. Ramasastry. She then worked with I. V. Alabugin at Florida State University on diradicaloids and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. As an NCN SONATA postdoctoral fellow in Arseni Borissov’s project, she studies the cyclotrimerization of arynes and hetarynes as a route to polycyclic aromatic compounds with open-shell and molecular-recognition properties.
